Curriculum

At Yorkshire Learning Trust, we believe every child deserves a rich, ambitious education that prepares them for a successful and fulfilled life.

Rooted in the National Curriculum and responsive to the unique context of each school, our approach empowers leaders and teachers to shape learning that reflects their communities while sharing the highest aspirations for all pupils, whatever their starting point.

Curriculum Implementation

All of our schools work within the Trust Curriculum Principles and agreed end-of-year outcomes, while taking into account local context, school identity, and pupil need when planning for the implementation and best impact of their curriculum.

This means that schools can take a local, bespoke approach to teaching specific subjects and choosing schemes of work, though there are many Trust-wide networks to support teacher interchange, subject development and truly effective teaching and learning.

Every school in the Trust describes its approach to the curriculum and individual subject planning on their school websites – head over to Our Schools to learn more.
