Richard brings extensive commercial and leadership experience to his role as a Trustee, with a professional background spanning land acquisition, property development and strategic partnerships. With over 20 years of experience in the property sector, he offers valuable expertise in strategic planning, commercial decision-making, risk management and the effective stewardship of resources.

Richard has significant experience in education governance and has previously served as both Vice Chair and Chair across two of the Trust’s school boards. He is currently the Lead Trustee for Health & Safety and Estates and sits on the Finance & Resources Board Committee, having previously served on the Audit & Risk Committee.

Through these roles, Richard contributes to the Trust’s strategic oversight, with a particular focus on ensuring that school environments are safe, well-maintained and fit for purpose, and that financial and physical resources are managed responsibly. He is committed to effective governance, constructive challenge and supporting school leaders to deliver the best possible outcomes for pupils.

Richard is passionate about the role education plays in creating opportunities for young people and is committed to helping the Trust provide a safe, supportive and ambitious environment in which every pupil can thrive.
